Omid Motamedisedeh is a Ph.D. student at QUT and a data analyst recognised as a Microsoft Super User. He has authored eight books on data analysis and Microsoft tools, providing valuable insights into the field. His research focuses on optimization algorithms, mathematical modeling, and decision-making models, with the goal of improving analytical and computational problem-solving techniques.
What attracted you to the RACE Industry PhD?
I was attracted to the RACE Industry PhD because it offers a unique opportunity to blend academic research with real-world industry applications. The chance to contribute to cutting-edge advancements while addressing practical challenges in the industry aligns perfectly with my passion for data analysis and technology. Additionally, the program’s focus on innovation and collaboration with industry leaders excites me, as it would provide a platform to apply my knowledge in a meaningful way and contribute to transformative solutions
When you were young, what did you want to be when you were older?
When I was younger, I wanted to be the owner of the biggest charity and also a world traveler.
What do you hope to achieve?
I hope to leave a lasting legacy that will endure even after my death.
What are you most looking forward to?
Right now, I’m eager to become a Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) in Data Analysis.
What innovation/change would you like to see in 5-10 years’ time?
I’m interested in models inspired by nature and bio-based technology. I find it fascinating to modify seeds so that by cultivating them, they grow into house-shaped trees, providing green and sustainable accommodation for a family
