What attracted you to the RACE Industry PhD?

I appreciate the multisectoral approach that RACE for 2030 has towards decarbonisation and the efforts put towards translation and communication between scientific research, communities, industry, and government bodies.

When you were young, what did you want to be when you were older?

The female version of Brian Cox (the physicist)

What do you hope to achieve?

Design cost-effective solutions for the energy transition that serve the interests of the smallest stakeholders (households).

What are you most looking forward to?

Learning from people smarter than me and the freedom to work on my own research project.

What innovation/change would you like to see in 5-10 years’ time?

No new fossil fuel developments.

Fun fact about you

If I’m reading a good book, I won’t put it down until it’s done. Even if that means staying up until 4 am to finish it… which normally works out well for me because the EPL (English Football) typically kicks off at 5 am.
