RACE for 2030 appoints new Board Director

RACE for 2030 is pleased to announce the appointment of James Colbert to its Board of Directors.

Board Chair Louise Sylvan thanked all applicants in a highly competitive expression of interest process that attracted over 70 candidates and had been guided by RACE for 2030’s commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity.

“James brings a shared passion and range of skills that will ensure our organisation’s governance is strongly aligned to our strategic directions and priorities,” Louise said.

James Colbert is the Regional Director for Digital Grid APAC for Schneider Electric and Chair of the International MicroGrid Association. His energy experience ranges from leading the Strategy for CLP business Energy Australia, partnering to drive demand side management and customer engagement and driving entrepreneurial growth within companies. James has spent over 15 years working at the forefront of the energy transition in Australia and Internationally. Having worked in and with start-ups, today his group works with customers to support the digitisation of their business. James’ experience compliments the existing Board members skills.
